¿CUÁL DEMOCRACIA?

The sham of U.S. "Democracy"
The fourth of July commemorates the U.S. Declaration of Independence. But what kind of democracy is it when there are over 13.5 million people going hungry every year in the U.S? When more than 1 in 100 adults are behind bars, disproportionately Black and Latino? Today, politicians wont talk about the fact that in 1776, the people of this country rose up against colonialism and oppression - and engaged in revolutionary action.
After all, millions of people might notice the need for a new revolution! Join us for a discussion on the myth of U.S. democracy and the need for a new, socialist revolution.
U.S. out of Africa!
The United States Africa Command (AFRICOM) is spearheading the NATO intervention in Libya, conducting intelligence and military operations from various bases around the African continent. When Secretary of Defense Robert Gates repeats every few hours that Libya is being bombed because the region represents a "vital interest" of the United States, he is talking about the oil under Libya that the U.S. capitalist class hopes to exploit. But poor and working people have nothing to gain from the exploitation of the African continent.
Join us as we present on the growing movement to oppose the militarization of Africa and in solidarity with all those in Africa who are standing up for national independence and social justice!
